Chances of Dalit leader Phool Singh Baraiya joining Congress are remote. On the initiative taken by Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia efforts were being made to bring Dalit leader in Congress but owing to his close relations with Ramvilas Paswan, Baraiya is not ready to part with Paswan in spite of his desire to join Congress. After creation of such circumstances Congress can leave the constituency of Bhind for compromise with Baraiya.
Efforts of compromise: Maximum damage done to Congress in last elections was due to votes cast in favour of BSP. Therefore Congress party feels that to get Dalit votes it is necessary to contest polls in alliance with parties which are involved in Dalit politics. By doing so its vote bank will increase and its strength too will increase therefore LJP can be the best alternative for Congress to contest polls in alliance with it in State.
Compromise on one seat: Congress too believes that Phool Singh Baraiya has hold over Bhind parliamentary constituency. Although Bhagirath Prasad is also not a weak candidate from that seat. If Baraiya gets the seat of Bhind as part of compromise then party will get benefit of Dalit votes from Gwalior-Chambal area. Along with this from Rewa and Sagar constituencies where there are too many Dalit votes Congress can get benefit.
